Crysis Wars ft. My Parallel Projection (first attempt)

Below is my first attempt at importing my google sketchup model of my chosen parallel projection into crysis wars. Whilst i was dreading this, i actually quite enjoyed the freedom of the program and the ability for the participant to really remain in control. The program is truly amazing, opening up a cyber world of endless possibilities in which one can truly create something special. P.S: this is just purely my first attempt and next time I will try and ensure that the two labs are slightly more separated and that the meeting place is more significant to both. Enjoy.

Below are the original parallel projections, however, these have been rotated and slightly transformed within my crysis environment.

My 'Electroliquid Aggregations'...

"Why still speak of the real and the virtual, the material and immaterial? Here these categories are not in opposition, or in some metaphysical disagreement, but more in an electroliquid aggregation, enforcing each other, as in a two part adhesive"
[Lars Spuybroek, (1998) Motor Geometry, Architectural Design, Vol 68 No 5/6, p5.]

Electroliquid Aggregation no.1
=
Maria Agnesi Hypothesis: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
+
Sigmund Freud Hypothesis: Freud believed he was an artificial construct.
=

"To battle the norms of convention often results in those individuals becoming outcasts, purely existing on the periphery of society. Thus, one fabricates their own world in which they exist as an artificial construct to endure the pain of exclusion."

Electroliquid Aggregation no.2
=

Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Maria Agnesi: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
=

"The human ambition will eventually one day override our planet, where the overdevelopment of our society will lead to the inevitable deconstruction of our planet. In this way, human beings must battle the norms of convention in order to secure a safe and harm-free future. "

Electroliquid Aggregation no.3
=

Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Sigmund Freud: The mind has another level when in hypnosis.
=
"If one could prove that the mind was a restless being, where not only did it think and observe in reality but that it remained active in a state of hypnosis then perhaps mankind will not be responsible for the deconstruction of our planet through our constant overdevelopment of society."

My parallel projections...

Below are my 3 parallel projections drawn from two different angles as well as a little added bonus! (shots taken of their construction in google sketchup)

1. Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Maria Agnesi: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.

2.  Maria Agnesi: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
+
Sigmund Freud: Freud believed he was an artificial construct.

3. Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Sigmund Freud: The mind has another level when in hypnosis.

Crisis Wars ft. My axonometric diagram

Here are two images taken of my first attempt at my Crysis Wars environment, one during the day and one taken in the dark of night to show how shadows effect the structure.

night time...

day time..

I have slightly transformed my axonometric from its original sketch, where I have rotated it so that it sits into the environment more subtly. This is apparent in my original sketches below...

Matching Hypothesis: Maria Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.

My axonometric constructed in Google Sketchup....

Here are two images of my chosen axonometric diagram constructed in google sketchup...

Matching hypothesis: Sigmund Freud believed he was an artificial construct.

Below are the original axonometric drawings of the model which i have constructed in google sketchup and soon to be crysis wars...

My axonometric diagrams...

Below are my 6 axonometric diagrams drawn from two different angles as well as my final 6 hypotheses, all of which correspond to the axonometric drawings.
Sigmund Freud believed he was an artificial construct.
Maria Agnesi's life was part of a mathematical system of opposing differential and integral calculus.
Maria Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
Isaac Newton believed that humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
Sigmund Freud believed that the mind has another level in hypnosis.

Isaac Newton believed that every object has its own force of attraction.

Group effort: the 15 hypotheses!

Below are my 15 hypotheses as discussed in class, however I have made a couple of subtractions and additions due to their appropriateness!

MARIA AGNESI

1. Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
2. Agnesi believed that the most complicated forms began with the simplest mathematical formulas.
3. Agnesi's life was part of a mathematical system of opposing differential and integral calculus.
4. Agnesi believed that x-axis to be the vertical axis whilst the y-axis was the horizontal axis.
5. Agnesi believed that numbers were the basis for deeper symbolic meaning.

ISAAC NEWTON

1. Isaac Newton believed that every reaction has an equal and opposite reaction.
2. If it wasn't for apples, we would still be floating in space.
3. Newton believed that the sun holds the power to the universe.
4. Every object has its own force of attraction.
5. Humans will deconstruct the earth through the over development of society.

SIGMUND FREUD

1. The mind is a prison.
2. Freud believed in the power of smoking to improve concentration and thus increase the capacity to work.
3. Freud believed in the use of cocaine to heal physical and mental illness.
4. Freud believed he was an artificial construct.

5. The mind has another level when in hypnosis.
