My final 36 custom textures from dark to light...

Experimenting with custom textures from dark to light....

Below are 60 textures that I have created in order to narrow it down to the most suitable 36. In this way, it ensured that I have been able to choose the best possible textures most suited to my clients, Maria Agnesi and Sigmund Freud.

My light, medium and dark textures applied to my sketchup model...

Below are the three textures that i applied to my sketchup model. I chose these three textures as i believed that they best suited my two clients as well as creating contrast within my model.
Light Texture
Medium Texture

Dark Texture
Below are some images taken of my crysis model after the textures have been applied. It is with these textures that my structure becomes one and finally appears to be a normal rendered structure sitting within its environment. Lastly, it is with this final addition of my textures that my model truly responds to my electroliquid aggregation.

Image depicts the part of the structure where the 'light texture' has been applied.

Image captures the overall image of the two labs and the central meeting point in which ideas can be discussed and inspiration flourish.
Image depicts part of Maria Agnesi's lab which has been transformed with the use of the 'dark texture'.

A mapping of the circulation and function of my models....

Key:
1. Sigmund Freud's Laboratory
2. Ramp up to second level of Freud's lab
3. Continuation of Freud's Laboratory
4. Continuation of Freud's Laboratory
5. Central Meeting point
6. Maria Agnesi's Laboratory
7. Continuation of Agnesi's Laboratory

The arrows in the above diagram depict the circulation of the structure from one end to the other....

A work in progress...

Below are images taken of my newly advised parallel projection sitting comfortably within its crysis wars environment. I have dramatically transformed the original parallel projection in order to truly create three spaces which can be utilised to their best ability as well as creating spaces which are both intricate and interesting. I have added various details in such as the unusual stretched stairs with views into the landscape below which reach the central meeting point. Thus, both through the stairs and the new ramp attached to Freud's lab i have enabled the structure to become accessible to its inhabitants and thus improve its functionality,  I have also extended both labs and slightly transformed them from their original spaces for functionality and aesthetics. Lastly, i believe that this version of my parallel projection suits my electroliquid aggregation more fluidly than the past examples. P.S i have also added in some cool features like the coloured lights to create contrast and excitement.

Crysis Wars ft. My Parallel Projection (second attempt)

Below are some images of my second attempt of placing my newly revised parallel projection into my crysis wars environment. I have slightly transformed the environment in the images below as well as the time of day and weather conditions. I have also transformed the original parallel projection in regard to the meeting place, making it more significant and accessible, as well as adding in some more details to the structure.

In the two images below i have redesigned the central meeting place, adding unusual stretched stairs by which both Agnesi and Freud are able to access their central creative hub.

Crysis Wars ft. My Parallel Projection (first attempt)

Below is my first attempt at importing my google sketchup model of my chosen parallel projection into crysis wars. Whilst i was dreading this, i actually quite enjoyed the freedom of the program and the ability for the participant to really remain in control. The program is truly amazing, opening up a cyber world of endless possibilities in which one can truly create something special. P.S: this is just purely my first attempt and next time I will try and ensure that the two labs are slightly more separated and that the meeting place is more significant to both. Enjoy.

Below are the original parallel projections, however, these have been rotated and slightly transformed within my crysis environment.

My 'Electroliquid Aggregations'...

"Why still speak of the real and the virtual, the material and immaterial? Here these categories are not in opposition, or in some metaphysical disagreement, but more in an electroliquid aggregation, enforcing each other, as in a two part adhesive"
[Lars Spuybroek, (1998) Motor Geometry, Architectural Design, Vol 68 No 5/6, p5.]

Electroliquid Aggregation no.1
=
Maria Agnesi Hypothesis: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
+
Sigmund Freud Hypothesis: Freud believed he was an artificial construct.
=

"To battle the norms of convention often results in those individuals becoming outcasts, purely existing on the periphery of society. Thus, one fabricates their own world in which they exist as an artificial construct to endure the pain of exclusion."

Electroliquid Aggregation no.2
=

Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Maria Agnesi: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
=

"The human ambition will eventually one day override our planet, where the overdevelopment of our society will lead to the inevitable deconstruction of our planet. In this way, human beings must battle the norms of convention in order to secure a safe and harm-free future. "

Electroliquid Aggregation no.3
=

Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Sigmund Freud: The mind has another level when in hypnosis.
=
"If one could prove that the mind was a restless being, where not only did it think and observe in reality but that it remained active in a state of hypnosis then perhaps mankind will not be responsible for the deconstruction of our planet through our constant overdevelopment of society."

My parallel projections...

Below are my 3 parallel projections drawn from two different angles as well as a little added bonus! (shots taken of their construction in google sketchup)

1. Isaac Newton: Humans will deconstruct the earth through the overdevelopment of society.
+
Maria Agnesi: Agnesi lived her life battling the norms of convention.
